October 28 at 5:00 picture of what your doing

Do you want to join in on the fun. The blog eighteen.25 is doing a cool "SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY" where they tell us what day and time to take the picture and everyone takes a picture at that time then link their blog back to theirs to share with everybody. I've always thought that this was a cool idea. This first week was to take a picture on October 28 at 5:00 p.m. I love love this time because it's the crazy, witching hour for most. I was in my van waiting for my daughter to come out from drama then to drop her off and pick up my son to take to soccer. This is the picture of the front seat next to me, all the things I will need to keep busy during soccer practice.

I'm hoping to put their button under my picture, if it's not there just click on the eighteen.25 button I have on the right side of my blog so you can join and to see what others are doing. Hope you will join the fun. Let me know if you do it.

Hoping for good weather that night so kids can just wear their costumes without coats. October 18 2010

Well it has been a fast week here at our house. Having a new puppy keeps you so busy just like having a baby again. Lucky is doing so good and he is so happy to be with us. He loves to follow us everywhere and whines when he's not allowed. I'm so happy we made the decision to get him for the kids they love every minute with him and help out all the time no complaints!!! Thank you kids love you!! I know my dates are a little off, realized that at the end but too tired to go back and change them, sorry. Sam got a bad toothache over the week and by Thursday he was crying he was in so much pain so we made a doctor appt. for Friday and found out he had a baby tooth with a infection in the filling going into his gums so they had to pull the tooth. My poor boy was hurting big time, laid on the couch and watched tv after all that and is taking medicine and feeling 100%better.

I just want to let everyone know that if your looking for Halloween decor ideas click on the eighteen.25 button on the right side. They always have such cute ideas that look great and most of them easy. If you are looking for ideas and inspirations on running, getting healthy, inspiration click on the cathy z link on the right side. She's awesome!! It was Allison Davis's sketch week last week also for great scrapbooking inspiration click on her name on the right. For a October/fall idea book to create click on Lisa Bearson's name on the right you can download and play around with a book online just like Becky Higgins project life book.

Now my absolute favorite project right now is on Ali Edwards blog. She is truly amazing and wonderful and talented. She has made a December Daily mini album for the last few years and they are so perfect for the holidays. She's assembling the album now and showing us different EASY EASY ways to do this with her. Please check her link out. This is a simple project you can make right now then fill it with photos, journlaning, tickets, whatever and it's for December 1 to December 25 or longer if you choose. I am doing one this year for the first time and will be showing you my album and how mine is coming along. So if you decide to do it please let me know so I can see yours.
Have a good week everyone!!

We have a new puppy in the house

So while we were at this fun coolest place ever, only went there for a hayride, horse ride, haunted house, etc and to what does appear but a 5 roly poly cute puppies for free. Yep that's what happened, boy did we walk into that trap unprepared, shocked, surprised, torn between doing the pratical financial responsible thing or to make 3 kids VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY HAPPPPPPPYYYYYY...... yes they've begged for a dog for at least 5 years and I always say no. Even my neighbors all started getting dogs, there is 22 dogs on this street, how do I know because the girls went for a walk this past summer and counted them and came home to tell me that we are one of the few to not have a dog. How could I say no, it just seemed meant to be. Now how to choose one well it was hard, they were all cute but one tugged our hearts the most and he won us over and decided to make him ours. The kids have been by his side all day taking care of him and loving him. He is very laid back and sleeps mostly. Even snores softly. He cuddles and kisses. Yep he's a keeper. What to name him ummm well I 've always thought of names like Max or Charlie or Jack will we didn't all agree so we tried them all out then close to bedtime I thought of Lucky because he's lucky to have us and we are lucky to have found him. So I think lucky will win. I hope this puppy training thing will go smoothly it's been years and years since I've done this. So welcome to your new family "lucky" we love you boy!!

Laura Vegas 10minute layout idea

I love love Laura Vegas's style and when she challenges us. Today she's showing how to do a 10 minute layout then how to step it up to 15 mts. and even in 20 mts. She gives you the directions on how she did all 3 of her layouts to make it even easier. So I forgot about most of my TO DO LIST and pulled these pictures out that I've been wanting to do. I didn't copy exactly how Laura did hers, I don't have die-cuts so just used cardstock. Laura has a way of bringing colors on her layout that I couldn't do and they turn out great. I on the other hand 95% of the time use the same colors that are in my photos which I did today. I really tried to find something different but nothing looked right. So if you count the time it took me to actualy put the layout together yes it was 10/15 mts. Due to my lack of right paper and searching for all my matching supplies though that took me 45 mts. I know that's bad but I can't help it. It drives my husband and kids crazy when it takes me 3 hours to do one layout because I can't choose a color or how many pics to put on a layout.

So anyhow here it is and I am going to try this again tonight and even this weekend, because I am way behind on scrapping. Please take the time to check out laura's blog and all her cool posts about everything not just scrapping. Click on the " just laura" link on the right hand side.

Thanks laura for helping me get another page done.

October 4 2010

Happy October everyone!! It has been feeling like fall around here. We've had rain, wind and low temps for almost a week. Soccer was not fun in all this weather for us parents. Sam loves it of course the more mud the better for him. We even had our furnace on for the first time this season and I've been wearing slippers for 3 days now it's so cold here. All this cool weather does put me in the mood for fall decorating and Halloween my favorite holiday that's tied with Thanksgiving. So because of that I want to post some fall/halloween ideas for all of you that we try to do some or all of these each year. I will post my decorations in a couple days still working on some of them. My main ideas are kinda like at Christmas time just turned around to fall time and it still works out great.

1. A countdown to halloween, you decide how long the countdown should be and if you want to do an activity each day or on the weekends or just do a countdown. You can do this by chainlinks, make a calender, tape pumpkins up on front door to remove one everyday almost anything would be great.

2. Have a basket filled with fall/halloween theme type books. Even my girls love some of the same ones from when they were little. Take time to read some everyday or weekends.

3. Buy halloween coloring books and as a family sit and color a bunch for you to put up and to give aways to family/friends

4. buy small pumpkins for inside the house and decorate them with stickers/markers/glitterglue/anything then put them on kitchen table or around the house or let the kids put them in their rooms

5. tell scary stories together, have the kids write scary stories/poems/halloween stories and make it into a book and save it for each year. I love reading the kids from when they were little.

6. Put past halloween/fall/leaves/hayrides/apple picking/ pumpkin picking photos from the past and put them into small album for the kids to look thru. They will love to see all these activities from years ago. Or put these photos into $1 frames and put some around the house for the kids to see and show to guests.

7. Don't forget to have donuts and cider on a cool night. Maybe read some fall books while sipping warm cider.

Ok these are my ideas so far that we have done and hoping to do them again. I love these ideas and it makes the cold weather season more fun and festive just like getting thru winter and Christmas. Hope you enjoyed these ideas and if I think of more I will post them later. If you have any ideas/traditions please let me know.

Also for some really clever ideas visit the eighteen.25 blog and they are having a halloween blog party with everyone's ideas on it. Click on the button that's on the right side of my blog. Have a great week everyone.
