Close up of the right side. I like all the fun journal cards I did and made it pop more. I did surprise the kids with DQ for Leap Day! I finally remembered to use a "HELLO" card like Ali Edwards does on her pages. The heart is from Renee's new art and the Malley's napkin she brought home for me. She went on kinda a date but with a guy "FRIEND" turns out the dad went to school with me and they all had a good night. The boy she went out with had a birthday and to make it special his parents said he could take someone and he picked Renee instead of a usual guy friends. She will like looking back at this memory I think. So that does it for this week. It feels good to have it done and move on.
Here's the full spread from last week. I love seeing all the hearts since that's all I'm about right now. There is a mix of Renee's and mine which makes me happy. This is what PL is for me this year, really trying to get more of me in their and what my creative side is about. I also have some collages which is also my big time favorite for this year. This week had lots more stories and it took me a few hours to narrow it down to this. Just trying not to make my album so thick this year but it's getting harder to do,lol Thankful again for sweet memories and my family and friends!!
Close up of the right side. I included two of Renee's hearts she made for me, love this. The ribbon on the journal card is from my friend Bonita Rose, she always has such pretty things in her shop. Spring has been sneaking in on us early and we are loving it. I did a collage of our day outside!!
Close up of the left side. We had a surprise visit from my sister and nieces while I was babysitting. These cousins haven't seen each other in a long time. Sienna was over the moon excited about seeing Ryan. They use to play together all the time before Ryan started school. So glad they stopped by and I got some photos. Sienna has finally started painting, she loved it and wants to do more. HOORAY FOR PAINTING!! The little photo is my fave for the week, these two were so cute taking a little drink break, look at those eyes. MELT MY HEART!! I included a confetti of hearts in the one pocket, love it. In the bottom corner is a collage of my lists from this week.
Can't say it enough PROJECT LIFE ROCKS!!! I enjoy this so much each week and love looking at these photos and memories. Thank you for stopping by and for your comments. To see more PL like mine, click on the Project Life Tuesday button on the right of my blog. So many joiners this year and so many creative ideas from everyone. Have a great week and hope this spring weather is staying.
Gosh these are beautiful! DQ Surprise! That one REALLY made me smile! I know what day that was....LEAP! :0) I hope that when all of my kids are in school next year, I am able to jump in on the project. I think it would be good for me to have the me time and just do something that I am interested in and quiet time alone working on this. Thank you for introducing me to this, Dawn! I of course love love love all of your photos and your art. Please tell Renee that I said her hearts are absolutely awesome!

DeleteHi Dawn! I absolutely LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. all the detail and little extras you have included on these pages. They are gorgeous! I loved how you used the journaling cards for just one big title. I think it is so very important that you included what happened at Chardon. You are so right, big hugs everytime our children come home safely. Renee...your hearts are fabulous! Have a great week Dawn and family.

ReplyDeleteHi Dawn again your photos and stories tempt me to own a Project Life album. Did you buy the whole kit or just the page protectors and the binder? The texture and the colors of the hearts are beauiful. Isn't it wonderful to have daughters to share your love of art with/ I'm not sure abt boys (I've 2 sons)
ReplyDeleteHave a grt week dear friend.
I never get tired of popping in here and reading your lovely posts.
ReplyDeleteI really loved that you included about Renee's "date" with a friend. these are such important memories and need to be kept and cherished. One day she will love that you took the time to document it.
I also love that you are including more about yourself. I have also made the promise to myself to include more of me in PL because PL should be about everyone in your family not just the kids.
