T stands for Tradition

Hello and Happy T Day! The weeks are flying by now this month and feels even more like fall, furnace is on and bigger coats and gloves came out a few times too. I'm sharing a fall favorite of mine for today's T gang at Eilizabeth's as you know we share our beverage/cup choice for the day. It's no surprise I'm sure to most of you that mine is warm cider and a doughnut, each fall this is my treat. Each year I look forward to this tradition and the kids do too, next time I'll be sure to leave some out for you to enjoy also. Do you have a fall treat you like, please share if you do?
Sharing my mandala with you today, used the flowers from my grandma's funeral to make. I've been wanting to make a fall one but don't have anything fall to use. Was happy just to make one again,  I do enjoy the process of it, relaxes and makes my heart happy.

Thanks for letting us share our Tuesday's together Elizabeth, so fun to see what others are up too. Hope you all have a good week and thanks for your comments and visits, love reading them.

  1. Love your mandala, great idea. I have never tried warm cider, sounds good though. One of my fave treats is roasted chestnuts. Happy T Day, and have a good week, hugs, Valerie

  2. Your mandala is gorgeous, and we should probably start making a few of those again. I know you've kept making them even though the rest of us have stopped.

I knew as soon as I saw the title of you post you would find a way to have some warm cider. It looks yummy. I've made mine in my crock pot before because I like lots of seasonings.

Faves for autumn? Pumpkin anything: pie, bread, cake, cookies. You get the idea.

Thanks for sharing your donut and your apple cider with us for T this week.

  4. Your mandala is beautiful!
I'm trying to imagine warm cider.... I have no idea what to make of that. In Europe cider is a (very) alcoholic drink similar to beer but stronger, or it could be very light coloured like champagne (the famous Babycham). Of course when heating the alcohol evaporates... Do you add anything to it?
Thanks for sharing your goodies with us,
    Lisca

  6. Your mandala is beautiful. I look forward to just biting into a good, crisp apple this time of year. I do enjoy the warm days and cooler nights, but we have had downright cold (frost and even a few snow flurries) over the past two days. Weather reports say we will warm up a bit again. Happy T Day!

  8. Lovely mandala with extra meaning and symbolism Dawn.
    Sorry for your loss.
Time certainly does seem to be rushing by.
I can hardly believe it's October and it's already the 20th!
    Cooler weather makes me hungry.
Time for a nice big pot of soup today.
    Happy T Day

  9. That is a wonderful mandala...it will be nice to put in your album to remember your grandmother by...yep, we had hard frost this weekend, and I heard some people say there was some snow showers on Saturday. I'm not ready for this!! The cider and doughnut sounds wonderful...I am still looking for a baked apple fritter recipe that will turn out well for me. I try to avoid fried foods, but it's so hard! I guess anything made with apples or pumpkins would be my choice for the fall. Yum!

  11. Never had warm cider, but I'm not a fan, altho' there are some fruit flavour ones that make it more palatable, so I may try one of those. Your floral mandala is beautiful; something else I've never done : note to self ~ make a floral mandala.
    Happy T Day :D

  14. Traditions are good things for families to experience together. We like fresh apples of the season. I have some coming from upstate NY. Honey Crisps. They are going to be awesome! Love warm cider, too. It will be time to have some of that soon as well. Happy TSFT!
