WINDOWS, WALKING, OUTSIDE TIME AND WITL

I will never get tired of these window photos, they are my favorite!! So glad I got this leg/feet shot will have to do this again. See in that top photo look at Colt's foot lifted up that's what he does when a car drives by and he's stretching to see where it went,haha .... so funny he is.

She has always loved the sunlight and her shadow!! She kept asking me to take pictures of her today

I LOVE LOVE these photos of him walking and stumbling, so precious. Sienna was right there to encourage him. His first time in my backyard, so excited for this summer with them both.

Of course we did some ART today, more collage and stamps!!Look at that face, such a cutie!

Today was filled with soooo many good memories and photos, I hope to have more like this next week for WITL!! These were perfect photos for our day today, I'm thinking at one or two collages. I took 44 photos today which is pretty good and what I aim for as a minimum during WITL. The most I have taken are usually over 100, that doesn't mean they all get used. They will be looked at and the ones that make my heart melt (like these today) or have a story that I want to remember. The ones that don't fall into those themes will be looked at again and some picked for Project Life. This album took me about 3 weeks I think last time to put together, lots of sorting and cropping and writing. It is all worth it though and means as much as my Project Life does. So next week I will try to post some of our photos each night for that day and some words just like I did for these ones. Then I will get to work on putting it all together and sharing it with you when it's done. I'm leaning towards the same format, a binder and basball page protectors and a collage for each day along with some words somewhere in all of this. Thinking of printing out my daily thoughts this time instead of all the writing. Would love to incorporate some of my art into but won't worry if it's not. Hope you will check thru out the week and leave me some comments to keep me motivated!!

ART WITH AN ALMOST 4 YEAR OLD

LOVE LOVE THIS PHOTO AND THE ONE I WILL SHOW AT THE END OF THIS POST. THIS SWEET LITTLE GIRL AND I ARE LEARNING ABOUT ART TOGETHER. SHE LOVES CRAYONS, COLORED PENCILS, PAINTS AND LOVES MY SHARPIES. WE TALK ABOUT COLORS AND I TELL HER HOW HAPPY ART AND COLOR CAN MAKE YOU FEEL. SHE IS GETTING FRUSTRATED AT NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE FLOWERS AND HEARTS THAT LOOK LIKE MINE. I TELL HER THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY AND THAT I PRACTICE ALL THE TIME AND SHE CAN TOO. I DON'T WANT HER FEELING DISCOURAGED WHEN IT COMES TO ART, WANT HER TO CONTINUE ENJOYING IT AND NOT WORRY ABOUT IT BEING PERFECT AND RIGHT BUT TO FEEL THE JOY IT CAN GIVE YOU AND TO JUST PLAY. I'M STILL LEARNING THIS AND I DON'T WANT HER TO STRUGGLE AS I STILL AM ON SOME DAYS. SO I'M DOING MY BEST TO ENCOURAGE HER AND INSPIRING HER WITH NEW WAYS TO MAKE ART, THE KIND THAT CAN BE MESSY AND FUN AND NOT JUST ABOUT DRAWING THE PERFECT SHAPE OR LETTER. HANDS DOWN ABSTRACT ART IS MY FAVORITE KIND OF ART, NO RULES THERE IT'S ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN. WE WILL KEEP COLORING AND SCRIBBLING AND DRAWING BUT ALSO MAKING TIME FOR FUN ART AND MAYBE IF SHE'S READY AND WILLING THIS SUMMER WE WILL START HER FIRST ART JOURNAL. I LOVE THIS IDEA AND THAT SHE WILL START SO YOUNG, I KNOW OTHERS HAVE DONE IT AND MY OLDEST LOVED ART OF ALL KINDS AT THE AGE OF 2 SO I THINK SHE'S READY. WE ENJOYED DOING SOME OF THE FUN ART THIS WEEK AND SHE WAS SOOOOO HAPPY ABOUT IT. THESE WILL BE MY FAVE PICTURES FOR SURE THIS WEEK, LOVE LOVE THIS GIRL AND THAT WE ARE HAVING FUN!!

SHE LOVES MY PUNCHERS AND MAKING LOTS OF HEARTS. WE EVEN ADDED A LITTLE MATH INTO THIS PROJECT, THESE HEARTS MAKE HER HAPPY AND THAT'S WHAT COUNTS. LOOK HOW SHE DREW EVERYONE'S NAMES, MY HEART IS FULL OF JOY AGAIN JUST LOOKING AT THESE.

HOORAY FOR DRAWING HEARTS, SEE THEM IN PINK ON THE LEFT AND HER LITTLE PERSON. SHE TOOK ANOTHER PAGE HOME WITH REALLY CUTE HEARTS ON IT.

WE STARTED COLLAGING. LOVE LOVE THIS WITH HER. MINE IS THE RIGHT AND HERS THE LEFT. THIS MADE HER CONFUSED AT FIRST THEN SHE LOVD IT AND LKED JUST ADDING THEM ONTOP OF ANOTHER. LAYERS SHE IS LEARNING LAYERS!!

MORE COLLAGE AND LAYERS, SHE LIKED THIS AND THEN WE STAMPED ON THEM. STAMPS GOT HER EXCITED AND WE PLAYED. I THINK SHE LOVES GLUE BY THE WAY, ANYTHING WITH GLUE IS THE TRICK I FIGURED OUT.

THEN I THOUGHT OF STAMPS AND HOW EASY THOSE ARE. SHE KNEW WHAT THEY WERE ALREADY BECAUSE MY MOMMY HAS THEM SHE SAID. SO WE HAD FUN WITH THESE AND I THINK WE WILL BE DOING THIS A LOT NOW. ADDED SOME PAPER TAPE AND NOW I LOOOOVE THESE PAGES. MINE IS THE LEFT SIDE HERS THE RIGHT SIDE.

ALL THESE COLORS MADE ME HAPPY AND I TOLD HER THAT ALSO. SO ALL THAT IN AN HOUR. JUST ME AND HER HAVING FUN WITH ART AND MY OTHER FAVE PHOTO

I TOLD HER THESE WERE ARTIST HANDS AND THAT BEING MESSY IS GOOD AND SHOWS HOW MUCH SHE PLAYED AND WORKED HARD TO CREATE. I WILL HAVE TO FRAME THIS ONE I THINK AND THIS SUMMER WHEN I GET HER FIRST ART JOURNAL THIS PICTURE WILL GO ON THE FIRST PAGE. PROJECT LIFE April 8 to April 14

hello it's time for project life update again, so glad to still be caught up!! I kept it kinda simple with a few added things, will explain in the close ups. Just wanted you to see the whole spread together, had to add an extra insert due to Easter and my 12 on 12 collage page. Love how each week can be whatever you want it to be. Lots of collages again, LOVE THEM!! Ok ready for close ups....

Here is the left side, starts with Easter Sunday so I included a candy wrapper, love these! I included a big journal card about our Easter day and the collage is on the right side even though you can't see it here. I added a doily from my dear friend Tracey to the date card, love these! Finally took pictures of me wearing my new glasses, they are so different from my past ones. Slowly getting use to them.

Here is the extra 81/2 x 11 insert for my Easter collage. Added a few Easter embellishments to it. Love seeing all these photos together.

Here is the 12 on 12 collage on the back of the Easter one. My camera wouldn't work for me on the 12th, not sure why. So I cheated and took pics on the 13 instead when my camera decided to work. Still calling it my 12 on 12th though. We had a great day outside and enjoyed a little bit of sun.

Here is the right side for the week, more collages!! I used a big journal card again about our 12 on 12 day. My favorite of this week is the collage with me and Lucky, LOVE THIS!! It was cool with frost on the ground and the sun coming up behind us. Took many tries to get these, he didn't know why I wanted him to stand still and not keep walking, lol  So glad I got these though! Click on images to see better. The bottom one of Colt was a special time while his sister napped, then it's just me and him. Love watching him play and enjoy his toys and he's starting to walk more!!

So that's it for this week and next week I will be joining the wonderful, inspiring Ali Edward's in another round of WEEK IN THE LIFE!!  Not sure if I will add it to my PL or get another album for it. So next week I won't be posting a project life update but will be posting my pics everyday and thoughts along the way. It's a big time commitment but sooooo worth it when done!! PROJECT LIFE !!!!!!

Here is the two page spread for last week, simple with a few homemade things. I LOVE the collages this week. This weeks is making me really happy, really good memories here to remember. I did forget the artwork that will be included darn it, will post that later. IT was our anniversary last Sunday and Sam wrote us a note that was so cute and Sienna has been drawing more with me and she made her first hearts and a picture of me. She is sooo funny when drawing and says the sweetest things, she takes her time and really thinks about it. We are working on flowers, they are hard to draw and she gets frustrated. Will show these later on, too sweet. Ok onto the close ups.

Here is the right side, it's all about last Sunday. It was our anniversary and we had a family day out which was fun. In that bottom right collage is a visit at the farmpark. They had brand new baby pigs, our favorite to see. We didn't want to leave them there, could have taken them home with us. Click on the image to see better, all 9 of them feeding on their mama, sooooo cute is that little runt. We saw many sheeps/lambs also. A quick stop at the mall to get my glasses then onto Scooter Dogs for lunch. This is our first time there this year, they open in March and we were so happy they were opened that day. It was so nice just to talk about our wedding over the course of the day to the kids, can't believe how time has flown by. Thankful for this man and my family and the wonderful wedding day we had.

Here is the left side, love this side also. I did some cute journal cards with my fave colors of the week. Just something cute and fun to remember and then decided to do a collage also, love how it turned out (bottom right collage). In the first photo on left is a photo I'm glad to have. This was the first night with Summer away on her trip and these two were in Renee's bed hanging out and getting along. Sam asked if he could sleep in Summer's bed while she gone and Renee said it was ok with her. So cute these two were, they got along the whole time Summer was gone. In the collage on upper right is Sienna and Colt playing with plastic eggs I brought out for them. That's all they did all day was play with them, she was soooo good to him and shared them. In the bottom left is a photo of Summer dressed nicely for school, she doesn't do this often and was thrilled she said ok to a photo. The two journal spots are empty (where the pink cards are showing from next weeks pages) for now, waiting for Summer to fill in some cards for me about her Washington D.C. trip. She had a great time but very tired from all the walking they did. So that's another wrap up of PL, thanks for stoppying by.

NEW FAVORITE COLOR CRAZY !!

Hello new colors, aren't they pretty. I am happy to see purple popping up again, funny how that keeps happening. For some reason my posting isn't working right, keeps freezing up in the middle of my post, if anybody knows why it would do this please tell me how to fix it. This will be my 5th attempt at posting and this time I've decided not to add any text with the photos and hope it will work. This was my first page using these colors, just trying out the shades of purple to see what I like. Here's the rest and I will have more later on.

Well it froze up twice again but I kept clicking cancel and it would start over again. AAAHHH computers gotta love them and gotta hate them. So there's some peeks at what I've been playing with for a couple weeks now and am sure they will be around for a couple more.

I'm also going to be creating some pretty eggs this weekend or next week, more of an artsy coloring egg. No dyes like we've been using for years, but fun ones with paints and sharpies and q-tips and bubble wrap. I got the ideas from Julie Balzer blog the other day, she linked some ideas on her blog and I LOVE LOVE THEM!! Click on her button "BALZER" on the right if you'd like to see them.

Happy Friday everyone, we are starting our spring break today, HOORAY which means kids are home and I hope to squeeze in creative me time while I can. PROJECT LIFE

Hello Project Life!! This week I'm just sharing the pictures and will show the pages later on when the journaling is done. It will be a simple week this time.
First photo is the low temp we are having now after that big heat wave from last week. We had to pull out the winter coats and hats again, the furnace is back on, no windows are open and not much playing outside going on. This put a damper on everyone's moods this week, esp. for me!!

HOORAY FOR A NEW WASHER!! I forgot to mention in last week's PL that our washer broke. It was 23 years old, guess it was time. We didn't plan on this happening so we could only get a washer but now I really want a new dryer also. I get happy just seeing this and doing the laundry now.

We got our first tulip blooming today, hooray for spring!!  The only bad part is all the weeds that have taken over, hate weeds. This weekend Sam and I went out there and pulled some of them out. We have a few more tulips blooming now also. The kids love seeing these each year and count them.

We went to a mall that we haven't been to in 8 years. It was ok , kinda small compared to our other mall. We did see this cool thing though. You can put in different coins and see which one goes around and lands in the hole first. We used all types of coins and the pennies always won.

Renee babysat her cousins for the first time, they were all excited!! She did a great job and made some money which she loves to do!! The girls came over the next morning and had pancakes with us. Ryan ate more then I've ever seen in all her 8 years combined. I guess she loves pancakes the most!!
