PROJECT LIFE NOV 1-10..THANKFUL

Hello Project Life!! This week starts my thankful photos for the month, I squeezed in the first 10 days so that it wasn't broken up between months. It was hard at first deciding how to fit them all in but finally it came together. Now the next PL pages will be just a normal 7 days like usual. While working on this week though my thoughts went to wanting some digital elements to play with. If you've seen Ali's and even Cathy's PL then you see how they write words and other fun stuff to their pictures and journal cards. I don't have photoshop so that's holds me back from even thinking about it. Hoping next year to do some digi that isn't with photoshop and see how it goes. I love the idea of writing on my pictures, the idea that the words are RIGHT THERE with the picture makes me happy. I also didn't show it yet but there will be a page protector here holding the newspaper announcing that President Obama is president again. On the back side of that will be a collage from Sam's birthday. I can't help but want more pictures of his birthday, just seeing one here isn't enough. Close-up time..
here is the left side...You will remember these from the last post I just did. See the writing on my church picture, love doing that. The bottom tree one, would have loved to write on that one.
here is the right side. See that first photo of the kids, LOVE writing on the card next to the picture. See how my thoughts kept going to digi this week, that's probably a first for me!! My favorite favorite is of that little Colt waving bye to me, he was here yesterday and did it all over again. At first I was going to cut the picture and put the journaling beside it. Then I kept seeing his dad in the back waiting at the car with a big smile on his face. Of course I couldn't cut it, love knowing that Colt/Sienna can see their dad like this, always patient and enjoying this little moment just like I do. Thanks Scott for not rushing them out the door!! The little jouranl card with the sunrise makes me happy too, LOVE that we finally had a sunrise that day. The bottom left picture was from my thankful book I do each night. It's been peaceful to sit at night and really think about my day and recounting all that I'm thankful for. So there isn't a picture really for this one but it's the whole day filled with surprises that I want to remember. The birthday one of Sam just cracks me up, pumpkin pie instead of cake and Sam singing happy birthday along with us to himself. He is just too cute sometimes. This whole week makes me excited all over again for this month and for this album. So that's my week all wrapped up and done. Hoping this week will go quick for me also.
Just had to pop this picture in !! We had a teenie tiny bit of snow blowing around on Tuesday and I took the time to get some pictures. This is my favorite of the leaves still hanging on the tree staying strong against the wind and rain we've had and the little bit of snow on them. Excited now for that first "real" snow to come and the magic of it. Not ready for the cold but ready for the snow part.

  1. Oh, precious snow :). It misses Sam's birthday!. Your PL is looking so warm & cheerful this week, LOVE you have little colt waving in there. I still smile at him :). I spent my first Thanksgiving dinner in 1998 at my professor's family home in Colorado, boy the FOOD was amazing!!!. And I LOVE the family time that day. Are you going to do ALL the cooking??. Yum yum, please keep a page just for the food alone, LOL.

  3. I love the way your spread is looking this week. The colors and variety of photos are just great. I don't have photo shop either but I have started just using picasa to add text. It is super easy. The program is free and you can use it to make collages as well (win/win!). I have downloaded a ton of free fonts to use over the past few months and am just getting started using them. Will have to do a post on that soon, but try dafont.com if you need links..

    1. Hello Nirupama,
So happy to see you here. Thanks so much for telling me about picasa, that would be great and perfect for what I need. Hoping this means I can still order them online at my store though. I don't print much out at home. That would be so helpful and fun to see a post about it from you. Thanks again! Hugs!

  7. How great that PL is prompting you to try new things and different techniques! It has been a steep learning curve for me this year too, and I love seeing all the great ideas floating around. I often think I'd like to delve into digi a bit more, but to be honest...it scares me! Maybe you could take the lead on this one?
