A LITTLE STITCHING AND A CARD

Hello there, popping in with a quick post. I want to say thanks for the great feedback on my last post on fun things to do this summer or even if your having colder weather right now. These can be done anytime and anywhere, quick fun activities to keep kids busy and even you right along with them. So thanks ladies for reading it and your comments. If you missed the post scroll down a bit and you'll see it. Today was the official last day of school here and so the fun and sun begin, actually it's cold and rainy for tomorrow but we started the fun with ice cream and being lazy and Sam watched a movie.

So today my amazingly talented so creative friend Shahrul was a guest at the workshop I talked about below. The theme today was stitching, I know most of my readers do stitch and I really wish to do this one day. The texture look of this on any project makes me happy. Well, Shahrul made a darling little project, kinda 2 mini ones rolled together. Please stop by and check it out http://suchprettycanvas.blogspot.com I just loved it so much. After you admire her work stop by the workshop and check out the other beautiful projects that were shared http://letsgettrendynow3.blogspot.com/ so many neat ideas and talent are being shared everyday this week. So far I've started using the themes to make cards and will be happy to have a little pile when the workshop is over. This one is my favorite so far and might have to keep for myself.

The above card is the one I made for today's theme, love that it was stitching but worried about what I could make. Took out an old packet of rub-on stitches and found these flowers just as old and knew they would work beautiful together. This was a fast to create which was important for the busy day ahead. I LOVE the colors and the variety of stitches used for the stems. Took a deep breath and actually used them for the greeting also. If you know me you know that was a big deal for me. I didn't want to mess the card up after getting those flowers/stems down just right. My family thinks they are real stitches on it, Sam still doesn't believe they were rub-ons. So now another card to add to the pile, YAY!!! Thanks so much Shahrul and the amazing ladies at the workshop. I have enjoyed this week so much and hope to keep using all these ideas even after the class is over.
Let me know what you think of Shahrul's project and hop over to the workshop and see too.
Have a great day, will post the rest of my cards soon!

  6. Your card has the summer colors in it.Those rubons look like real stitches. If you have not told them that they were rubons I wouldn't have believed it.Now let me go see what others have created.
