My computer and I are back up and running

I am happy and kinda sad about my computer fixed and back home again. It was nice to take a break from it and got a lot done around the house, even went to bed at 9:30 each night. There is still a lot for me to get done on projects and have to catch up on the lists I missed this week. As soon as they are done I will post them. They all look fun and I want to take my time with them since these are the last ones before it's over.

I'm actually tired already and too tired to post pictures but here's a couple of happy thoughts for this week and will have more fun stuff later. Still have to do my PL for the week and will post it soon. Happy thoughts in no random order

1. I WON A AWESOME AWESOME MOLESKIN JOURNAL ON THE 30DAYS LIST BLOG, JUST FOUND OUT, SOOOOO EXCITED FOR THIS.

2. have been painting and creating this week, love love getting messy and learning about stencils, inks, sprays

3. the temps have been mild and just right for sitting outside in and walking Lucky in

4. Summer has grown again and now we see eye to eye can't believe this, pretty soon she will past me too.

5. Sam cleaned his WHOLE ROOM AND LAUNDRY all on his own yesterday. For over a hour he was up there and we were told not to come in. I was soooo happy about this and even gave him $2 for a good job.

6. Renee was extra kind to her brother at certain moments this week, love it when this happens

7. I made a menu for the month of OCTOBER, it was hard but I stuck with it. Such a relief to know it's done. If this works out good will keep doing it every month.

8. decorated more in my house, changed the pictures in frames again. Love love decorating for fall.

9. It's great having my tv shows back 0n again.

10. doing 30 days of lists has been sooo much fun. Sad to see it end tomorrow.

11. my oldest Kristin has been home for 6 weeks and it's been so much fun having her here again. Sad that she left yesterday back to Miami. We all miss her soooo much already.

12. I got a little surprise in the mail today from a new blog friend, sweet little bits of crafts she uses.

Computer promblems!!

List #23 & 34 Housework and the LOTTERY

List #23 What do you do to avoid housework. I tried to have fun with this list and came up with my thoughts on the left side. The right side is a magazine clipping that I love, just look at all those things we do. I count that as housework and taking care of the family. So I underlined some of the things that take up my day, on a verrry busy day that is. When you see it all written down like this it's amazing to see. I got magazine word idea from another cool lister. Hoping to do this more.
List #24 IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY!!
I've been wanting to do a post on this for a few months now so it was so cool to see this as today's list. This list was done pretty fast, all green for the COLOR OF MONEY!! Next month I will do a more detailed post about all these and a few more that I forgot. My hubby is the one in our house who really wants to win the lottery. For me I just wish we had a little extra to pay off debt and save for college funds and a few vacations. If we really did win though I would still want the life we have now, no traveling, now buying 20 cars or tons of diamonds would just take care of our family and save the rest. It sure is nice to dream about this though. I've already told my husband about my big splurge on the right side and he said GO FOR IT!!

Project Life 9/11 thru 9/ 16 and 2 more of my lists

The left side of my week. I made this whole side about 9/11 and our thoughts on it now. I saved all the newspaper articles and wrote down what my kids were feeling at this time too. My sweet Summer girl wrote the little paper in the big pocket there. She is always doing special things like this. The other 2 kids talked about it so I wrote down their thoughts in my journal card.

Thank you to everyone who left comments on my last post "ONCE UPON A TIME" for my daughter's dream dress to finally happen. She loved reading the comments and loved how special I made the story for her. She left a thank you comment for you if you want to go back to read it. For the last 4/5 days I've had a bad cold/sore throat hoping it will get better soon. I may not get to post over the next few days due to babysitting and activities for the kids and trying to sleep more. So for today there is two of my list and my project life update. Still going strong and loving it. Once upon a time.......

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A YOUNG GIRL WHO DREAMED OF HAVING BEAUTIFUL DRESSES TO WEAR. THE YOUNG GIRL'S WISE MOM ALWAYS HAD TO SAY NO THOUGH BECAUSE THERE WAS NOWHERE FOR HER TO WEAR THESE EXPENSIVE AND LAVISH DRESSES TO. SO THE YOUNG GIRL WOULD PICK OUT THE PLAIN DRESSES THAT DIDN'T SHIMMER AND SWOOSH AND WEAR THEM TO SCHOOL. THE SAD YOUNG GIRL WOULD FILL UP NOTEBOOKS OF DRAWINGS, SKETCHES AND DREAMS OF ALL THE DRESSES SHE WOULD OWN ONE DAY AND EVEN HAS DRAWN HER WEDDING DRESS. FINALLY THIS YOUNG GIRL ISN'T SO YOUNG INSTEAD SHE HAS GROWN INTO A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY AND IS GOING TO HER FIRST HOMECOMING DANCE!! OH WAS THIS YOUNG LADY EXCITED AND THRILLED MORE THEN YOU CAN IMAGINE. SHE DOESN'T EVEN NEED A DATE, JUST WANTS THAT DRESS AND SOMEWHERE FANCY TO WEAR IT TOO.
SO THE WISE AND SECRETLY NERVOUS MOM TOOK THIS YOUNG LADY AND HER YOUNGER SISTER SHOPPING TO FIND THE PERFECT DRESS FOR HER. HOW WAS SHE TO ONLY PICK OUT ONE WHEN THERE WERE SOOOO MANY THAT SHE WANTED. THE SISTERS HAD FUN PICKING THEM OUT AND TRYING THEM ON. THE WISE MOM TOSSED SOME ASIDE AND SAID NO WAY CAN YOU WEAR THAT ONE !! FINALLY WE HAD OUR TOP 3 PICKED OUT. A BLACK ONE, A SILVER ONE AND THE PURPLE ONE AND OF COURSE WE HAD TO PICK THE PURPLE ONE SINCE THE YOUNG LADY LOVES THIS COLOR. EVEN THOUGH THE PRICE FOR THE DRESS WAS MORE THEN THE WISE MOM WANTED TO PAY IT STILL WASN'T THAT BAD.
SO AFTER PAYING FOR THIS MUCH AWAITED DRESS WE HAD LUNCH AND LAUGHED AND ENJOYED OURSELVES. THE YOUNGER SISTER STARTED DREAMING ABOUT HER DRESS THAT WE WOULD BE GETTING NEXT YEAR WHEN SHE IS A FRESHMAN. THE POOR WISE MOM ISN'T THRILLED WITH BUYING 2 DRESSES NEXT YEAR BUT KNOW IT'S GOING TO MAKE HER YOUNGER DAUGHTER HAPPY TOO.
SO NOW THE YOUNG LADY HAS BROUGHT HOME THIS PERFECT DRESS AND IT'S HANGING ON THE CLOSET DOOR WHERE SHE CAN STARE AT IT ALL DAY/NIGHT AND DREAM ABOUT IT AND MAKING SURE IT'S REAL. SHE IS SO EXCITED TO WEAR IT AND CAN'T WAIT. THE DANCE ISN'T FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS THOUGH.
THE YOUNG LADY WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME WITH SOME OF HER FRIENDS AND MAYBE MEET A NEW PRINCE, WHICH MOM IS HOPING NOT... THE MOM AND DAD WILL BE SITTING UP WAITING TO GO GET HER AND HOPING EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR THEIR DAUGHTER AND IT'S A MAGICAL NIGHT.
THE SAD MOM IS NOT LOOKING FORWARD ALREADY NOW TO BUYING A TUX FOR HER LITTLE MAN WHEN HIS TIME COMES AND HAS DECIDED TO LOCK HIM IN HIS ROOM TILL HE'S 18, SO SHE CAN KEEP HIM HOME WITH HER. JUST THINKING ABOUT HER KIDS GROWING UP IS MAKING HER TEARY EYED AND WANTING FREEZE TIME.

List @18 Little things that are my favorite

I can't believe it's Sept. 18 already. Officially a month since my birthday already, time is flying by already. Today' s list was fun to do and easy which is great on a Sunday. It's about my favorite things, well I'm not into things really so I thought of some things and listed them on the left side and on the right side is the little things in my life that I like. Being simple is all about how I am, doesn't take much to make me happy or to like something. So far I've been keeping up on my lists but just not posting the last few here. What's making me HAPPY right now

I thought it was time for a what's making me happy right now post. I'm still going strong with the lists but miss doing the other posts I do. So can I just say FALL IS IN THE AIR!! As I'm typing this it's not even 60 degress out right now. The leaves haven't started changing colors yet but they will be soon. If only we didn't keep getting rain. I'm feeling so happy right now just knowing my favorite season is starting, love love fall and wish it lasted 6months instead of just a few. So what's been going on here and some happy thoughts.

1. I'm wearing my winter pj's and slippers right now and have for 4 days out of this week. Love it!!
2. I decorated for fall today and changed my pictures around in the frames. Love seeing all the past fall/halloween pictures up again.
3. Renee's school pictures came back and look great, even with braces.
4. I pulled out our fall scrapbook albums to look thru, love love this
5. I bought Sienna a new Dora pumpkin book and she loves it, Colt is getting cuter and loves cuddles now and is crawling like crazy and getting ready to pull up on stuff. Wish he'd slow down.
6. I'm thinking of getting cider and donuts this weekend and pumpkin pie
7. Going to find some local fall festivities for us to visit. I love love these events in the fall.
8. Fresh apples to eat, they are so good when you pick them from the tree
9. Taking Renee homecoming dress shopping this weekend
10. kids still are doing good with school
11. I can't wait to buy some new fall clothes for me
12. for two days straight now I got everything done on my to do list but still haven't had time to be crafty.

I think that's enough for the moment. Although I could add that tomorrow is Sam's visitors lunch at school so I get to eat lunch with him tomorrow. Oh yeah and we just noticed that Summer grew another couple inches and she is eye to eye with me know. Thinking all my kids will be passing me up, I'm in big trouble!!

List #14 WHAT KIND OF FASHION DO I LIKE??!!!

Today's list is WHAT YOUR FAVORITE FASHION/STYLE IS???!!! This was perfect for me since I'm trying to find what style makes me HAPPY!! I've been going a little out of my comfort zones and wear many different shirts now. This whole summer I only wore tennis when I ran and fun shoes the rest of the time. I've never worn flip flops and tennis and boots use to be my favorite item to wear on my feet. Now I'm shopping more for ME and try not to just run out of the house in my old worn out clothes. It feels good to make these small steps and am looking forward to getting more fit and buying FALL FALL CLOTHES!!
I went a little crazy with the list for today but I couldn't resist, this is where I am right now in my life and it's a big part and I wanted to show that in my journal. In 10 years from now it will be so fun to read this again and see what kind of STYLE makes me happy then. Wait till my kids are 42 like me and they will laugh when reading this and just maybe they will be stuck in a rut like I was and this will help them feel good about looking good for them and finding a new style.

List #13 THINGS I DO TO PROCRASTINATE

The list for today was another lesson for me about managing my time. It really helps to have this prompts everyday and get you thinking. Now that I typed and read it a couple times it amazes me that I do this almost everyday and still haven't changed my ways. Now some days I do actually get all the laundry done and put away but that's it and other days I do enough little errands and chores but then I blow the rest of the late afternoon or bedtime stuck in front of computer again. So funny because up until a year ago I never used the computer actually couldn't stand having one in our house. Now I see so many crafty ideas, scrap ideas, organizing and food ideas that it blows me away. My plan now is to start fresh and really make use of my time and start crafting and scrapping and painting. Oh and the other thing I do all the time is make LISTS on all the neat ideas to make and do and what supplies to go buy and menus to make. Tons of lists in all by notebooks but I never do them I just write them down and forget about them. So my plan is to step away from the computer and spend more time JUST DOING JUST DOING MY TO DO LISTS!!! Wish me luck.

Project Life Sept. 4 thru 10

For something different this week I decided to take pictures of blue things. This is my favorite color but next month I will pick another color. It was fun to come up with some ideas like the blue collage just for this week and ripped out that ad about blueberry juice. I got a jewelry set from a cool blogging friend and we went to a local baseball game which has blue all over the place. Might try a harder color next month. The picture of us eating dinner is there because it's special nothing to do with being blue. I'm glad to still be caught up in my PL even though some weeks are busy hoping to keep up when the holidays start.

September 11 & 12 lists

Sept. 12 list is NEVER HAVE I EVER....
I did a post kinda like this a short time ago and it was stuff I haven't done but wanted to do in the future. This time it's just stuff I haven't done ever and if I do any of them or not it's ok except for one thing. The home/garden show in the next town is something I've been wanting to go and see for 15 years now. The only problem is it's during the week of my daughter's birthday, the hours are never right for when I can have a sitter. Each year I dream of going but it never happens so again I'm hoping that it works out next year. So what are some things you've never done before?? Let me know in the comments.

I will be posting my Project life tomorrow on time and with my pages done and filled with blue!!
On the list for Sept. 11 I forgot the to save room for the title, oh well I got a little too sticker happy!! It was about what were looking forward to right now. All I know is that FALL IS MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR!!! ALL OF IT DOWN TO EACH LITTLE LEAF OR PUMKIN IN MY GARDEN. I was made for this season and try to cram it with tons of activities. I did forget to add fall soccer to the page though, will add it later. Of course this page was easy and fun as you can see I had no problem with my list and could have added more. Not only is it my favorite season but it's also has my favorite holidays HALLOWEEN AND THANKSGIVING the two least stress holidays for me. I am also adding an envelope with my story for what happened on Sept. 11 ten years ago. That is what really matters today and I think about it all day and night, sending prayers to all those people who lost loved ones then and still continue to lose someone because of the war. September 10, 2011.... 10 years later

This is my 4th time trying to write this down and can't get it right but I need to say this. So please please excuse any wrong grammer, spelling, whatever else I say wrong. Trying to write from the heart is very hard at times for me and the pressure to get my thought across to all of you in the right way makes it harder.

Ten years ago today, I was homeschooling my two little girls, my oldest was in middle school and my sweet baby boy would be born in two months. On this day my little girls and I had my mom and grandma over for a special "GRANDMA" lunch. The girls had helped me set the table and make egg salad sandwiches for them. They were so cute that day only 4 and 3 dressed in dresses and their hair all done pretty. We had lunch and punch and homemade necklaces for them to give the grandmas. Next up was coloring/drawing on white paper which was my girls favorite thing to do. I'm thankful for this activity because my grandma who I've never seen draw/color before made the most prettiest picture like she'd been drawing all her life. I was so impressed and happy with this simple thing. I kept it thank goodness packed away in the attic now. So soon after this my husband called and my sister did to tell us about the news. We turned on the tv and watched in horror as the towers went down, I was sick to my stomach and worried about my oldest at school. The school had said I could come and get my daughter and bring her home and keep her safe with her family. The rest of the day/week went by in a blur as I watched and listened to what was going on in the world. So many tears I shed for these families wondering why this had to happen and hearing about the hero's on the plane who tried to help. The flag I taped inside my house and on my front window/ front door and my car to reminded us of this day and those families. I was worried for my soon to be new baby and for the kids I had already. When my husband went to work, I would panic and call him constantly asking him to calm me down or to come home early. If he was even a little late coming home I would start to panic and want to call the hospitals/cops. This went on for months and slowly I woke from this deep dark fog and begun to see the light again.

Not a day has gone by since then that I don't say a prayer for all those who we have lost on that day or since that day. I pray for those surviving families and babies who never got to meet their parents or family. I pray they are given strenght, comfort, love, hope to make it thru each day. I pray for my family and those around me. I proudly sing the National Anthem and am moved to tears each time I hear it (Renee sings this in her shower almost daily for 2years now) and I always look for flags when driving and can get tears just seeing a row of them standing tall and proud in my town. I thank the men/women in uniform when I see them and wish them luck. They have the hardest job there is and have to leave their loved ones to do it.

So today I just want to say to any of my readers who have lost a loved one from this nightmare please know that my thoughts are with you today and feel the hug and love I'm sending you. For those of you who like me didn't lose anyone but was effected by this day please feel my love and hug for you also. For those who have loved ones fighting for us THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO AND THANK YOUR SOLDIER FOR ME. MY LOVE AND PRAYERS AND HUGS ARE WITH YOU AS WELL.

Today I will be remembering this day and spending it with my family. So blessed to have them here and safe with me. Thankful for my husband who helped me get thru this ordeal and is still my rock and always will be.

Another day another list. This one I did right away in 5 mts. The idea to use this package paper came from the 30daylist girls who used cardboard for her list today. Well this package worked out good I thought. Just the few things going on right now at 5:50 in the morning here for me. I can't believe we are on DAY 10 already. List #9 Weekend Plans

This is always a fun list to make and changes from season to season and soccer season. I'm hoping to just hang out mostly at home this weekend and enjoy my family, quiet time and being thankful for all my family and friends this weekend. Fall is in the air so I thought this would be my last beachy/summer type page then will turn to warmer colors and images. I can remember what my day was like 10 years ago and want to take some time this weekend to honor those around us who lost loved ones and for the ones who fight for us. I pray we never have to live thru something like this again. Enjoy your weekend.

List #8 What reminds me of my childhood

This was a fun and easy one. I keep thinking of things as I'm getting kids ready for school. I thought it was done then remembered about VCR's oh man my mom surprised us big time with one for Christmas. we were so excited. So on that blue slip I will add more things that come to me later. List #7 What are you not good at???

Today's list was a little hard but I feel better about it this time around then when they had it in March. It's about what your not good at and of course it's hard to admit or talk about these. I could have just listed the basic things like burning cookies and cakes or my bad spelling or how I can't blow up a balloon even at my age. For this month's lists though these lists are about who I am right now and what I can learn from them.
When I did this list back in March it was too hard for me to even write down my less then perfect traits but I have come a looong way since then and today it didn't bother me at all. This year is all about me learning to be "ME" for "ME" not for anyone else. When doing this list in March I even switched it too 'WHAT I AM GOOD AT" instead of focusing on what to do about those other less then good parts. The trick for me now is to embrace them and see them as who I am and what I can take from it.
Sorry to go all heavy on you guys about the list. I know it's just a list but I'm using it as a lesson also. By the way I did have fun writing it and using this magazine ad, so thankful for friends showing me the way with using the open space to write on.

Project Life & Sept. 30 day list #6

I kept my Project Life nice and simple this week after last weeks massive amount of photos and stories. Hoping to keep it under control since my album is packed right now and I'm hoping to keep it all in album. Thinking next year I will get one of each album Becky has for us to pick from. During the month of September I will be doing a list a day for the whole month. It's been so much fun doing this again. It's a blog with 3 fun ladies who give us a prompt everyday for a list and then you make a list however way you want. Some are simple others are creative and artsy. Sam had his first travel soccer game. It wasn't good, very sad as they lost 12-0. Poor guys tried their hearts out but just couldn't score. We are with a new team this year and it feels weird without his old team which I'm sure with them we would have won or at least scored a few goals. This is going to be a looong season.
Rich took a last minute half day and came home to enjoy reading his new book in the sun/shade before the kids got home. He was out there for 2 hours. The both of us like the simple things in life, just doing this made his whole day happier.
Summer was so sweet and went out and golfed in the yard with Sam. They were so cute and funny together. So glad for these moments between them. Rich had just been out there too.
I love love this picture and it brings back so many memories of them laying like this about 10 years ago. All lined up watching tv together. We would do this and watch 7th heaven, oh man do I miss that show.
My nieces over one day after school. Camryn wouldn't look at camera, she doesn't like me taking pictures anymore. Thankfully Ryan still lets me most of the time. Lucky is hoping they share with him.
We took Sam to a BEYBLADE event at our local Toys R Us. He's been waiting for 2 weeks to go and have fun with other kids who like this toy. They were very generous with the prizes and he got 4 new ones, trading cards, stickers and coupons for more. He was the most experience one there and helped the clerk put them together since she had no idea how to. Such a nice kid he is.

Sept.2011 list #6 your favorite color combos & project life update

Here is my list for day #6 and it's full of color as you can see. So happy to have another fun page to do. This one took me over an hour to do because of finding all these cool color combos to show you. It was worth the time it took to see how pretty it looks. The prompt for today was your favorite color COMBOS instead of just color. This is the first year I've been playing more with color and finding some I like. Blue has always been my very favorite but I don't use it much for my house and decorations. I do have blue clothing though. I've actually been afraid of color and paints because it's too overwhelming and was afraid to pick the wrong color to paint with. My walls stayed white for years till finally my mom painted them for me. Well white is my new love for color now and I'm ready to paint my walls white again and add pops of color around the room. It seems most of my color combos do have to have some white in there somewhere too. This page was fun and I think at the end I might add another page of colors to it. It was hard to narrow it down to just these but they are my most favorite ones right now.

Sept 2011 list #5.... What APPS would you want ??

My list for today is short and sweet. Most of you know I'm not that techie and can't do anything but the basics on my computer so today's list was a challenge for me. Thankfully the girls made it more fun by sharing their ideas for FUN IMAGINARY APPS which was more my style. So after some reading of the ideas there and thinking of my own here is my little list. Wasn't feeling to crafty either but that's ok, my list is done. I am curious to know though for my friends who aren't doing the list what APPS would you like to make up???!! Kinda fun just to think about them. Hope everyone had a good weekend. My weekend was pretty good, nice cold weather for us this week which I'm happy about. Day #4 list..... The perfect Sunday for me

This was another fun list to make. I LOVE LOVE Sunday's. It's the only day my hubby is home all day with us, he works half days on Sat. We start our day with pancakes and the newspaper. I try not to sleep in and head to the track. The kids do watch tv for about 3 hours in the morning then I tell them to get up and head outdoors or to a family fun activity. If I can squeeze in scrap time and my project life updates during the day I am HAPPY. I love that Rich likes to cook on the weekends, so much easier. I love spending this time all together and some Sundays the kids don't like our ideas or don't get along but I try to keep the happy feeling going all day. So Happy Sunday everyone!! Oh and for this page it was fun to cut up our Sunday newspaper to make my page feel more like a Sunday.

Day #3 for September lists: Who Do I love???

I had so much fun with this page. It feels like Valentine's day from making all these hearts. So far these lists are all happy and easy to do, thank goodness. I was trying to cut up pictures to put on the right hand side but they just didn't look right. After several hours of frustration and almost giving up I thought of making this collage instead. Day #2 of September list

Here is my list for day #2 and it made me happy just making it. I played around with my ideas this morning first then went shopping and found these cute smile face stickers that were perfect for showing how happy these things make me. My 2 challenges for this project is to make each page a little different from the rest and to add COLOR to my pages since I love using white. It's been so much fun to read the other lists from some talented and fun ladies also. Thanks to everyone who stops by and reads this and I love love reading the comments you leave me too. Happy September & 30 days of lists is back!!!

Happy September!!! I'm so excited it's finally September first!!! WHY DO YOU ASK??? Well since you asked, it's time for another round of "30 DAYS OF LISTS" like the one I did back in March. The ladies who put it together the first time got such a great response they are doing it again. Today was the first day and it was like Christmas eve last night for me. I tossed and turned all night because my mind kept going to the list and what would the theme be for today. Well I think they picked a perfect list for today. WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR SEPTEMBER!! This is so perfect for me right now because I have tons to do this month before the holidays are upon us. So here is my first page done TODAY ALREADY!!
I'm just using a 3 ring binder with dividers in it, there is one for each day of the month or I might do some as two pages, we will see. I love office supplies so that is what most of my pages will be made with. I plan on posting daily if time allows. I'm going to try and upload a button for you to click on if you'd like more information and want to join the fun. It was $6 to join but I just couldn't resist BECAUSE I LOVE TO MAKE LISTS!!
